ALICE LIPTROT
TEXTILE ARTIST
Alice creates tactile compositions that blur the line between drawing, sculpture and textile. Working exclusively with undyed British wool sourced from Romney Marsh, she transforms simple, natural fibres into richly textured works where light, shadow and material take centre stage.
Originally trained in knitwear and committed to British craftsmanship throughout her career, Alice now uses punch needle as an intuitive form of drawing, embracing a slower, more expressive practice. Her limited palette and layered surfaces invite a quiet, contemplative way of looking, revealing new details as you move closer.
Inspired by material, texture and the poetry of restraint, her work embodies the timeless, thoughtful approach to making that lies at the heart of Muse Studio.
